Aoudad / Barbary Sheep Hunt
Barbary sheep, also known as Aoudad, are native to Africa and have adapted to survive in harsh, arid environments with scarce water. Known for their expert climbing abilities and exceptional eyesight, Barbary sheep are elusive and challenging to hunt, with shots from 300-500 yards being common.
These hunts are physically demanding, and hunters should be in good condition to maximize their chances of success.
Mature rams, typically between 8-14 years old, measure between 28 and 34 inches, the majority of the rams our clients have taken are in this category. A ram measuring over 30 inches is considered a once-in-a-lifetime trophy. The golden chaps and mane of mature rams make for an impressive shoulder or pedestal mount..
